Squirrel PROBLEM HELP?

THOSE DANG SQUIRRELS are eating my fig tree, i know that i can go to the store and buy some kind of urine, or a scarecrow sprinkler, and no i cant shoot them b/c i am in an urban area, but is there any home remedy or something of that sort that i can do to make them leave?Squirrel PROBLEM HELP?
I once heard a talk radio host in Houston (Garden line) describe this concoction. It sounds extreme but it worked for my mothers critter problem. Take 1 cup of urine (yours or a volunteer), 1 cup of amonia and put them in a 1 gallon sprayer. Fill the rest of the sprayer with water and lightly mist the surrounding area. You obviously dont want to spray the figs but douse these pesky critters course of approach to your favorite friut and they should be fooled into thinking that there is some undesireable larger critter who has marked the territory and is ready to eat them.

My only other answer is my father in laws method, the reliable, tried and true daisy BB gun.Squirrel PROBLEM HELP?
They hate tin foil. And dogs
My neighbor got a live trap and got racoons, squirrels and a possum. He just drove the devils a few miles away and let them loose.

I just put out their very own bird feeder and they didn't bother anything else because they were too fat and lazy to eat snacks that they had to work for.
squirrel eating tiger. Check your local laws, though. Many communities are pushing to keep dangerous predatory animals out.
There really are no ways to prevent the squirrels from messing with your tree by using inanimate objects because they will quickly get used to them. I would reccomend trying to obtain a live trap for small or medium size animals. With this method you can either eliminate the animals or relocate them by taking them to a nearby park or down the road a few miles.

Good Luck.
recently i was told that bright, shiny, loud things will keep pests away from the garden.....hopefully the same works for a tree! my suggestion would be broken glass, cd's, windchime, etc etc.
I use moth balls to clear attics of rodents and this may help with your fig tree.

Buy a few boxes and give it a try by setting them out in the tree crouch around the base of the trunk, etc
