They lap water.

I've seen them suck....I volunteer at a wildlife place and haven't seen them lap....they could but I haven't seen that happen
they lick, either from the surface of the water or from their paws. My squirrel has a lick bottle in his cage.
No don't be so stupid! if you look closely,they have a wee pouch, not unlike a kangaroo,an that's where they keep their wee straws!!
