Probably not, but when I lived in Minnesota, the squirrels were so tame that you could sometimes touch them. We used to set up cardboard boxes with a stick and a long string and catch them. We would entice them into the yard by putting out food like cereal or crackers - they love peanut butter. We didn't keep them, though. We set them free. They are so cute, but caution, kids. They bite and can carry bad diseases, like rabies. I don't think they were meant to be pets.Is it legal to own a pet squirrel in minnesota?
I live in MN and my friend has had a pet squirrel for years now i don't know if its legal though. They don't make good pets though they cant be completely tamed. It can be vicious and dirty.

So even though I found an apparent abandoned squirrel shaking in the middle of the road jumping up onto my boot and climbing up my pant leg begging me to get it out of said road because the curbs here are far too high for little baby squirrel to jump on though they are mandated I imagine by either state or more local governments and have taken care of said squirrel by providing him such luxuries as climate control and high nutrition Foods he is also young enough to be familiarized with humans as caregivers and have shown no aggression or anxiety about about its new surroundings the state decides that he would have been better Suited dying in the middle of the street paralyzed with fear if you are afraid of squirrels don't own one but if you're willing to give both your time effort and heart to any creature you should be able to
