Why can you kill a mole or gofer but not a squirrel ?

Sorry, im an ex hunter.Why can you kill a mole or gofer but not a squirrel ?
Why do you have to kill anything? I mean they have people out there killing for us so we can get our daily intake of meat. If you want to use a gun so bad then go to a firing range.Why can you kill a mole or gofer but not a squirrel ?
No you can kill em. We have squirrel season here. BTW they taste like crap and are tough.
Squirrels are actually holy creatures and direct decendants of the Hindu god Rama
Depends where you are and how you do it, i suspect.
